Best Action Cameras Under $200

This is a top of the range camera as far as specs go but at a quarter of the price of GoPro's new 5 and 6 releases. A solid looking first camera by Xiaomi which can only mean great things to come from them in the future.

A fantastic little action camera that came out just before the Xiaomi Mijia 4k. Both priced at the same at around $100 but this one has voice control but loses out on the resolution and only provides interpolated 4K video recordings.

It looks a little funky but that doesn't matter and if it spends most of it's time inside the waterproof case, no worries.

A solid little camera, much like the Gitup Git 2 with it's 1080p recording, a good sensor and chipset and because of it's size is very versatile.

This is a very sensible action camera, it uses latest tech in Novatech and Sony processor and sensors which are decent hardware. It isn't trying to hit marketing terms by adding 4k when it doesn't need to and is good in low light conditions. If you are after something for VLOGs, drone footage or require better sound quality with your recordings this could be perfect for you and not break the bank.

An incredible entry level action camera, records in HD 1080p at up to 60fps and does it well. No crazy gimmicks, no fake 4K video recording and a trusted support offering from Apeman who seem to be making good action cameras and dash cams.

A great little camera with tons of settings and an info screen to control it all, compared to the Mobius camera it has a bit more going on with it. You can connect it to multiple devices like a larger battery or video out to help with RC/FPV use but it's let down by smaller field of view and no waterproof housing.

A solid entry level, budget action camera which has features that much more expensive cameras have. It doesn't aim to do 4k video or super slow motion in HD but it has aimed to create videos in 1080p at 60fps which is the most used video res and frame rate and they've done that well for a price everyone can afford.
