List of Drones and Their Field of View and Focal Length
Here are a list of photography drones, each with their field of view and focal length. The table is sorted in a descending order with those that have the largest FOV at the top.
We have added table columns for both the field of view and focal length, when known for each camera drone so that you can make a better decision as to which drone would suit your style of photography more.
Yuneec Mantis Q Has the Widest Field of View
At 117°, the Yuneec Mantis Q has by far the widest field of view, this is because of it's image sensor size and focal length it works out at 117 degrees. This is over 20° more than the next and second widest field of view.
If you want to get the most in to the shot and not have to move your drone further away so that you can see the most of what is infront of the drone for its photography camera, this is the drone for you.
Autel Evo Drone has the Second Widest FOV
There is a big drop of over 20° to second place, the Autel Evo, with a total field of view of 94°. This is still wide compared to those that come below it, with an average field of view in a drone of about 80° if you take them all in to account.
Hubsan Zino H117S has the Third Widest Drone Field of View
At 89°, the Hubsan Zino H117S, also know as the first Hubsan Zino has the third widest field of view.
Other Film Making Drones with a Wide Field of View
If you're looking at other drones with a wide field of view, the following drones all have a field of view above 82°.
- DJI Mavic Air has a field of view of 85° and 24mm focal length
- DJI Mavic Air 2 has the fifth widest field of view at 84° and a 24mm focal length
- DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2 also has a field of view of 84°
- DJI Mavic Mini has a field of view of 83°
- DJI Mavic 2 Zoom has a field of view of 83° when fully open and not zoomed in
